A refrigerator cannot just go to the curb — the refrigerant inside has to come out the legal way before the unit gets scrapped. We handle that whole process in Sunset Heights and still manage to recycle better than 95 percent of the appliance.
Three steps, start to finish — we handle every bit of the heavy lifting.
Tell us the fridge type, size, and where it sits in your Sunset Heights home, and we quote a flat rate plus a window.
The crew recovers the refrigerant to EPA standard, disconnects the lines, and eases the fridge out of your Sunset Heights place.
Your old refrigerator goes to a recycler that reclaims more than 95 percent of the material inside it.
There is a real reason fridge disposal is regulated: the refrigerant inside vents into the atmosphere if it is handled carelessly, and doing it wrong can draw a fine in Sunset Heights. Our certified crew recovers the refrigerant first, then removes the unit — side-by-side, French door, top-freezer, bottom-freezer, garage beer fridges, mini fridges, wine coolers, commercial boxes, all of it, with ice-maker and water lines disconnected along the way. From there the fridge goes to a recycler that separates the compressor, coils, steel, plastic, and insulation, so almost nothing ends up buried.
Sunset Heights is one of El Paso's oldest and grandest historic districts, perched on a bluff overlooking Downtown and the border. Its Victorian and early-20th-century mansions near UTEP make it a landmark of the city's architectural heritage.
Refrigerators hold EPA-regulated refrigerant that has to come out first. Our Sunset Heights service handles that step and recycles the unit the legal way.
Typically $100 to $150 in Sunset Heights, depending on size and where in the house it is sitting — that price covers recovery, hauling, and recycling together.
We do — reach-in boxes, walk-in cooler components, and commercial freezers, pulled from Sunset Heights restaurants and shops just as often as home kitchens.
